- The cable can be either straight or cross-over. Standard telephone RJ11
- cables are cross-over and that's fine.

- On one modem, use the command ATX0D
- On the other, ATA

- The X0 is needed so that the modem will not complain about no dialtone.
- Actually, any X value low enough to allow blind dialing is fine.
